It doesn’t seem unreasonable that the age limits for political office should include an end bracket, too, to help ensure that the people in those roles can relate to the current era — and in addition to that, government programs that support and understand the needs of the oldest generations.

I think about this often! When I see a bad car accident, I wonder if the estate of car inventors should have to pay the hospital bill. Or if the gun salesmen should also go to jail when someone gets murdered. Are we responsible for our ideas even if they’re misinterpreted? (An extreme example: when Charles Manson thought a Beatles song was telling…[Read more]

I enjoy that I can walk to my bank and recognize the people that work there, and they recognize me. That’s kind of unique in this city, at my age, and I remind myself not to take it for granted.

Very interesting insight! Stuart and I watched a documentary recently called “Do You Trust This Computer?” that was about the future of AI and it was interesting, about (among other things) what the role of doctors will be when machines are better at diagnostics and surgeries, and how computers are adept problem solvers without compassion, which…[Read more]

I love the term “clutter sanctuary” – what a cozy set of words. I wonder if keeping the doors off the closet would improve things? Good luck!

A: What’s up?
B: nmu… Not much. You?

Good advice! When I had a desk job, a chiropractor told me that she could tell by my spine that I “needed to look up more” and it struck me as sort of profound…

Do you think you could stay an educated citizen if you just avoided the TV news altogether and only read newspapers (in print or online)? A network that needs to replay a negative story over and over again just to […]

My cactus from AZ is surviving too! It may be the first plant I’ve owned to last even this long, as I don’t appear to have inherited your green thumb. Good luck with your bunrab fence.
